4. Corrugator and Flexo Rolls
On the corrugator, keep rolls clean, even, and balanced so paper pulls smoothly and bonding stays uniform. On flexo units, clean ink before it dries and prevent flat spots from pressure left on during stops, since roll quality drives feeding and print accuracy.
5. Hardness, Bearings, and Alignment
Keep the right shore hardness for each roll: grip for feeders, balanced elasticity for pressing. Also inspect bearings, shaft, and alignment, since worn bearings or a bent shaft cause one-sided wear and vibration.
6. Grinding or Recovering on Time
Worn or wavy rolls can be reground while enough rubber remains. When rubber is deeply cracked, hardened, or separating from the core, recovering is the better choice, restoring near-new performance and cutting reject rates.
